Key Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Lead Software Developer role involves delivering software development support to the statistics and programming team across various projects, clients, and therapeutic areas.

This position requires manipulating large databases and generating reports to enable analysts to explore real-world healthcare data assets.

A strong background in creating complex analysis data sets derived from multiple data sources, with attention to outliers and errors, is essential.

  • Proficiency in R and SQL programming is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Oncology databases like Flatiron and COTA is a plus.
  • Experience with Analytic Datasets, patient cohorts, and OMOP-Common Data Model is beneficial.

Technical Requirements:

Expertise in R and SQL programming is necessary, along with a good understanding of Oncology-specific analyses such as Line of Therapy algorithms, Survival analysis, and different statistical models.

Experienced individuals should be familiar with R Shiny or Instant Health Data (IHD).

General Expectations:

  • Effective leadership and communication skills are crucial for this position.
  • Strong documentation and time management skills are also essential.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or another subject with high statistical content is required.
  • A minimum of 7-8 years of SAS statistical programming experience is necessary.
  • Database programming using SQL and experience with advanced statistical methods are mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters' degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or another subject with high statistical content is desired.
  • Training or experience with Python, R, Databricks, or other cloud-based software is beneficial.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience and training or experience in epidemiological methods are advantageous.
