Mobile Tester Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the scope of testing within each release or delivery, providing regular status updates, and supporting the testing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the scope of testing within each release or delivery.
  • Provide regular status updates to the Test Lead or Manager.
  • Support the testing team and work closely with Business Analysts, functional leads, and the development team.
  • Assist in test planning and manage the testing effort for any given release.
  • Design and implement test scenarios and cases.
  • Track and report bugs, coordinate defect resolution.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in e-commerce domain with expertise in mobile and web testing.
  • Good understanding of API testing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile.
  • Proficient in writing and executing test plans and test cases in structured environments.
  • Hands-on experience in Integration Testing, Functional Testing, Black Box Testing, User Acceptance Testing, System Testing, Smoke Testing, and Regression Testing.
  • Able to identify test scenarios, estimate test effort, and create test plans.
  • Working experience with Jira and Agile-driven projects.
  • Good to have experience in performance testing and Firebase Analytics.
  • Advantageous to have experience with mobile testing tools.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with technical teams to convert functional requirements into test specifications.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Experienced in preparing test data, creating test cases, and executing tests.
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • E-commerce domain experience with mobile and web testing expertise.
  • API testing knowledge.
  • SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative, Agile) understanding.
  • Test plan and case writing proficiency.
  • Integration, Functional, Black Box, User Acceptance, System, Smoke, and Regression Testing experience.
  • Test scenario identification, estimation, and planning ability.
  • Jira and Agile project management experience.
  • Performance testing and Firebase Analytics experience (advantageous).
  • Mobile testing tool experience (advantageous).
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Technical team interaction ability.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Test data preparation, case creation, and execution experience.
