Job Title: Medical Scribe

 

Role Description:

We are seeking a skilled medical transcriptionist to work closely with healthcare providers and document clinical information in patient records.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review physician dictation and transcribe accurate, timely clinical notes into electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Prepare and assemble comprehensive medical record documentation/charts for physicians
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through self-documentation attestation
  • Update patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in patient records
  • Prepare and send documentation to physicians for review and approval
  • Monitor lab results and screening procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and Joint Commission regulations
  • Perform administrative tasks to optimize provider productivity and clinic workflow

 

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a live medical scribe or equivalent
  • Strong writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record software
  • Professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • Medical coding certification or completion of a recognized program
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with ICD-X codes and CPT Procedures
