Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Manager

Duration: 6 months with a high possibility of extension in this dynamic role.

Work Schedule: Full-time EST hours (night shift)

Location: 100% remote work opportunity

Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Manager to design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.
  • This individual will assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining backup, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • The ideal candidate will develop and monitor automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud and on-prem resources.
  • They will analyze system performance trends, implement betterments, and optimize resource utilization for cost efficiency.
  • Candidates must have working knowledge of monitoring platforms such as Data Dog, Orion, Nagios, WhatsUp Gold, etc…
  • The selected candidate will implement security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard cloud environments.
  • Responsibilities include administering company SaaS platforms to ensure user productivity is our top priority (Okta, AWS Workspaces, etc.).
  • Collaboration with DevOps and development teams is crucial to streamline CI/CD pipelines and support application deployments.
  • The chosen individual will provide technical guidance and support to junior cloud engineers and other team members.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices is essential for success in this role.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud solutions.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (e.g., ECS, EKS) is a plus.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Proven hands-on experience supporting Okta SSO Platform.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, and routing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
