Senior Financial Manager Position

This senior-level financial management role involves leading the finance team in a strategic planning capacity, focusing on controllership, investor relations, and financial operations. Key responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate month-end/year-end closing and reporting, strengthening internal financial controls, risk management, and compliance by implementing robust accounting practices and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the integrity of financial statements, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flows.
  • Strengthen internal financial controls, risk management, and compliance.
  • Manage statutory, internal, and tax audits reviewing and approving all financial processes, reconciliations, and vendor payments.

Strategic Finance & Business Planning:

  • Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting partnering with leadership on strategic initiatives, growth plans, and capital allocation.
  • Drive initiatives to improve profitability, unit economics, and ROI.

Financial Operations:

  • Oversee daily finance operations including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll ensuring tax compliance and regulatory adherence.

Fundraising & Investor Relations:

  • Support equity and debt fundraising efforts building investor confidence through transparent and timely reporting.
  • Lead financial due diligence, board reporting, and investor communication.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance and accounts team fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong background in finance controllership and compliance.
  • Proven experience in high-growth start-ups, construction, real estate, or tech industries.
  • Solid understanding of Indian GAAP, Ind-AS, tax laws, and audit practices.
  • Hands-on experience with ERPs, MIS, and business finance tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
