Job Overview:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for strategic sourcing and procurement of raw materials. This role ensures a consistent supply of quality materials at optimal prices, develops procurement strategies to support production schedules, and manages supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement procurement plans aligned with production demands and market conditions.
  • Evaluate and engage suppliers to secure best terms and maintain a robust supply chain.
  • Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve procurement-related issues.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations for steel products and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality control, finance, and plant planning teams to align procurement with manufacturing needs and quality standards.
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance availability and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare reports on procurement performance and supplier evaluations.
  • Support vendor development and conduct periodic supplier audits for quality and delivery performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Materials Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in raw material procurement in steel or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of HRC, coated steel, hot rolled plates, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven procurement decisions.
  • Proficient in procurement SAP Hana applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
