Procurement Specialist


About the Role:

This is a seasoned procurement specialist role that involves fostering collaboration, ensuring effective communication with key stakeholders, and delivering business goals. The primary objective of this position is to manage supplier relationships, drive client satisfaction, and formulate category-specific cost models to meet business needs.


Main Responsibilities:
  1. Relationship Management
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs and preferences, driving high levels of client engagement and satisfaction.
  • Ensure appropriate supplier relationship management for assigned suppliers, adhering to defined sourcing policies and processes.
  • Perform spend and contract analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities, formulating category-specific cost models to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to define and implement IT strategies and sourcing area plans for global and regional strategies.
  • Lead and execute IT sourcing projects from end-to-end, delivering allocated savings targets through effective management of sourcing initiatives.
  • Provide sourcing subject matter expertise, solutions, and support for client engagements and pitches, working independently as well as being a team-player.
Requirements:
  • University degree in economics or Supply Management and/or Legal, or industry experience equivalent.
  • Additional Sourcing/Procurement certification advantageous.
  • Strong oral and written English language skills, with proficiency in Simplified Chinese preferred.
  • A minimum of 12-15 years' experience in strategic sourcing, ideally gained in an international environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make decisions for the client(s).
  • Deep understanding of License Model, Service Models, IT – Applications and Infrastructure.
