Cyber Security Analyst - L4 Role

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, identifying, rectifying and recommending specific improvement measures to enhance the security posture of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Protect Sensitive Information: Analyse and identify potential security threats to sensitive information and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Monitor and Safeguard Log Sources: Monitor log sources and security access to prevent unauthorized activity.
  • Plan for Disaster Recovery: Plan and implement disaster recovery procedures in the event of a security breach.
  • Monitor for Attacks: Continuously monitor systems and networks for signs of attacks, intrusions and unusual or unauthorized activity.
  • Perform Complex Log Reviews: Perform moderately complex log reviews and forensic analysis to identify unauthorized or unacceptable access to data or systems.
  • Conduct Security Assessments: Conduct security assessments, risk analysis and root cause analysis of security incidents.
  • Handle Incidents: Handle incidents escalated by the L1 team in 24x7 rotational shifts.
  • Analyse Threat Patterns: Use advanced analytics tools to determine emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities.

Deliverables:

  • Provide detailed analyses of all attacks and recommend remedial actions.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and create comprehensive reports and dashboards.
  • Maintain an up-to-date information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security.
  • Develop and deliver cyber security awareness training for colleagues.
  • Provide guidance on issues such as spam and unwanted or malicious emails.
