Job Overview

The role of a Senior Operations Specialist is to ensure the smooth operation of software development and deployment processes. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams to automate and streamline various operations and processes, and to build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing reusable infrastructure-as-code (IaC) components, writing scripts to automate build and deployments on AWS Cloud and on-premise data centers, and automating the deployment of and support for Linux and Windows-based infrastructure services.

You will also orchestrate the deployment of application and infrastructure clusters within a Public Cloud environment using a Cloud Management Platform, and perform performance monitoring and tuning of operating systems and applications for optimal operational efficiency.

Additionally, you will document existing and new public cloud deployments using run books and cloud architecture diagrams, implement processes to standardize best practices and procedures, capacity planning, and risk mitigation, and collaborate with technical and business teams to assess requirements and recommend solutions.

This role requires a high degree of analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and typically require 12+ years of experience in DevOps. You should also have experience working in IaC environments, be proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Ruby, and have a strong understanding of cloud computing platforms.

Desirable Skills:

  • Cloud management platform using RightScale
  • Oracle Cloud Platform experience
  • AWS Associate or Professional level certification
