Job Description

Seeking a seasoned Finance Manager to lead our financial operations and drive strategic decision-making.

Calfus is headquartered in the US with India operations in Pune and Bangalore and a subsidiary in Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in financial planning, analysis, and decision-making to ensure the company's financial health and long-term growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to optimize costs.
  • Providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Baseline key cost levers and collaborate with leaders to establish benchmarks for assisting in pricing, contract structuring, and margin analysis for large deals.
  • Collaborating with delivery, sales, HR, and other teams to support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Spearheading month end, quarter end, and year-end activities including accruals & monthly analysis on the actuals vs provisions.
  • Ensuring compliance with India, US, and Canadian tax regulations and financial reporting standards including coordination with auditors for periodic and annual audits.
  • Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
  • Identifying financial risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Leading and mentoring the finance team to achieve organizational goals.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management.
  • Collaborating with practice heads to align financial goals with business objectives.

Requirements

Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in the technology services industry.

Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho or similar).

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Strong analytical skills and detail orientation. Ability to interpret data, generate and communicate insights. Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel techniques.

Effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Individual will need to work across US and India time-zones.
