Job Opening: Design Engineer - API Pump

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Ghaziabad. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing post-order engineering support and collaborating with sales and tendering teams during the bidding phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end order engineering support for assigned projects
  • Review technical specifications, analyze non-standard requirements, and propose solutions
  • Creation of GA, CS, PID, and 3D models/assemblies, manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Prepare order review documentation and preliminary plans for engineering deliverables in line with project requirements
  • Prepare pump data sheets and create BOMs
  • Perform basic engineering calculations as required
  • Closely coordinate with project management, supply chain, and Celeros global engineering teams for efficient project execution
  • Maintain project documents and important communications/decisions in a structured format
  • Solve issues identified during pump assembly
  • Prioritize tasks and efficiently monitor and close critical tasks
  • Maintain Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  • Proactively resolve queries raised by vendors and customers on submitted documents
  • Contribute to developing engineering standards, process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and improving the quality of engineering deliverables

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in API 610 Centrifugal Pump post-order engineering
  • Knowledge of electric motors, mechanical seals, seal systems, couplings, valves, and JB
  • Strong CAD skills in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, with the ability to work independently
  • Experience in issuing BOMs, RFQs, drawings, and engineering documentations
  • Ability to review technical specifications, engineering standards, and produce associated design documentation
  • Thorough knowledge of industry specifications such as API 610, API 682, and ASTM codes
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machine design, fluid mechanics, and metallurgy
  • Experience in communication with global clients is an added advantage
  • Good spoken and written English skills, with the ability to make concise communication with clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills for communicating thoughts and ideas
  • Team working ability and an attitude of collaboration, mentoring, and flexibility
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and own assigned projects

Education and Experience

  • BE in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute and university
  • More than 6 years of experience in design/order execution from a relevant industry with minimum 4 years of core post-order engineering of centrifugal pumps for the oil and gas domain
  • Working knowledge of 3D/2D design software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks
