Job Title:

Software Engineering Lead

Description:
  • The Software Engineering Lead will lead a team of skilled software developers in a collaborative and agile environment, ensuring the successful delivery of complex software features.
Responsibilities:
  • Act as a technical lead, coach, and mentor to other team members, providing guidance on software engineering best practices and coding standards.
  • Lead user story refinement meetings to ensure stories are understood and decomposed adequately, facilitating effective communication among team members.
  • Design complex software features as required, leveraging expertise in software development methodologies and tools.
  • Develop and maintain all aspects of software developed by the team, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to industry standards.
  • Provide code and supporting documentation in accordance with software development processes and codes of practice.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on software and technical issues, communicating effectively to ensure project success.
  • Act as a technical expert for coding processes and best practices, providing training and support to team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge and proven experience as a software developer with exposure to elements of our technology stack, including C, .NET, and front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.
  • Good experience working with cloud platforms, microservices, and API development, with a strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Knowledge and application of software engineering practices such as unit testing, TDD, CI/CD, SOLID, BDD, and Agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead design and development of complex software features, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Proven ability to work as part of an Agile delivery team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, with a strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
