Job Title: Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to design and manage scalable database configurations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement high-performance database architectures, ensuring optimal data storage, retrieval, indexing, query performance, and infrastructure efficiency.
  • Automate routine tasks, patch deployments, and installations using scripting languages.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, including long-running queries, blockings, and deadlocks.
  • Implement data backup, recovery, and DR strategies, ensuring business continuity.
  • Maintain database integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance database operations and interactions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL, index defragmentation, re-indexing, query optimization, and client/server connectivity.
  • Strong experience in automating tasks, replication monitoring, and backup/recovery scheduling.
  • Knowledge of cloud integration, shell scripting, and ITIL framework (incident/crisis management).
  • Excellent problem-solving, team collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications include Sybase certification or equivalent, experience in cloud platforms, LEAN methodology, and open-source technologies.
