Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective security solutions to safeguard the organization's data, applications, and business operations.
  • Enhance application security by reviewing existing architecture, identifying vulnerabilities, and suggesting improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls during application design, highlighting potential risks and mitigations.
  • Work with developers to establish security checkpoints in the SDLC based on industry best practices and standards.
  • Conduct thorough security assessments of existing applications to identify gaps and provide technical advice for weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
  • Support periodic internal and external security evaluations and audits.
  • Ensure adherence to secure coding standards, aligning with industry leaders such as OWASP, SANS CWE Top 25, and CERT Secure Coding.
  • Design and deliver training programs on secure coding practices for development teams within the technology department and regional business units.
  • Represent the organization professionally at all times, promoting positive behaviors that align with our core principles, values, and culture. Emphasize the importance of safety and adhere to our Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.

Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Application Security, Cyber Security, or a similar domain.
  • Background in application development and application security.
  • Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerability assessment and mitigation techniques.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry-standard cyber security frameworks, including OWASP, ISO2700x series, PCI DSS, GLBA, EU data security and privacy acts, FFIEC guidelines, CIS, and NIST standards.
  • Familiarity with web-related technologies, such as Web applications, Web Services, and Service-Oriented Architectures, as well as mobile application security.
  • Industry-recognized certifications in cyber security are preferred, including CEH, EnCE, SANS, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, and/or CISA.
  • Knowledge of network/web-related protocols is an advantage.
  • Understanding of OAUTH2, SAML, OpenID is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in E-commerce, logistics, supply chain, and port operations applications will be beneficial.
  • Experience working with multinational companies is desirable.

  • Proven expertise in identifying and responding to advanced attacker methodologies, ideally with offensive experience and/or deception environment development using open-source, vendor-purchased, and bespoke/in-house developed solutions.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
