Job Title: Test Automation Engineer

Description:

  • We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using UFT (Unified Functional Testing) for web and desktop applications.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test automation using UFT/QTP and a strong working knowledge of HP ALM for test management and defect tracking.
  • This role requires proficiency in VBScript (used in UFT scripting), experience with testing web and desktop applications, and a solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
  • As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will work closely with development teams to reproduce and resolve defects, contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools, and participate in test planning, test data creation, and review meetings.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, along with 3+ years of relevant experience in the industry.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in test automation using UFT/QTP.
  • Strong working knowledge of HP ALM for test management and defect tracking.
  • Proficiency in VBScript (used in UFT scripting).
  • Experience with testing web and desktop applications.
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall environments.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium, LoadRunner).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integration with automation frameworks.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
  • ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
