Automation Engineering Role

This position involves developing, executing and maintaining test automation scripts to meet project testing requirements.

Key responsibilities include designing, building and implementing end-to-end regression suites for UI and API testing, identifying high-value manual test cases and converting them into automated tests, working closely with development, product and DevOps teams in an Agile environment to ensure timely and high-quality releases, developing and executing smoke, functional, regression and integration test suites for UI front-end, API services and database back-end, and debugging and troubleshooting automation scripts and application defects, working with developers to identify root causes.

  • Develop, execute and maintain test automation scripts to meet project testing requirements.
  • Design, build and implement end-to-end regression suites for UI and API testing.
  • Identify high-value manual test cases and convert them into automated tests.
  • Work closely with development, product and DevOps teams in an Agile environment to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
  • Develop and execute smoke, functional, regression and integration test suites for UI front-end, API services and database back-end.
  • Debug and troubleshoot automation scripts and application defects, working with developers to identify root causes.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in UI and API automation using Cypress, JavaScript or TypeScript, REST API or SOAP testing, including hands-on experience with Postman, RestAssured or similar tools, experience in SQL queries and database validation, understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD from QA Automation perspective, experience in debugging and troubleshooting skills to analyze automation failures and application issues, experience with source control systems such as Git, GitLab or Bitbucket, solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and Agile testing practices, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment and excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
