Job Opportunity: Storage System Engineer

At our organization, we are seeking a seasoned firmware engineer with extensive knowledge of storage system design and development.

The ideal candidate is an innovative problem-solver with deep expertise in storage technologies, capable of making architectural trade-offs to optimize performance and power across diverse use cases.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in architecture, hardware, validation, and software services, contributing to the design, modeling, validation, and production of next-generation storage products.

  • Design, develop, and customize controller firmware for enterprise-class storage solutions.
  • Work on firmware development with a strong focus on NAND Flash technologies (SLC, TLC, QLC).
  • Contribute to modeling efforts for storage products from concept through production.
  • Support device characterization, benchmarking, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with architecture, hardware, validation, and software teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex firmware issues across multiple layers.

The successful candidate will have:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 8-10 years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably in the storage domain (SSD/HDD).

Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ and assembly programming.
  • Hands-on experience with storage interfaces: PCIe/NVMe, AHCI, SATA, SAS, UFS, eMMC.
  • Proven experience with firmware design, customization, and support.
  • Strong analytical and abstract thinking ability with excellent problem-solving skills.
