Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team in the diamond industry. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial software and data analysis tools, as well as a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll.
    • Track diamond inventory, including detailed recording of carat weight, clarity, color, cut, and associated costs for each stone.
    • Process sales transactions to customers, including invoicing and payment collection, as well as manage diamond purchases from suppliers, verifying documentation and pricing.
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, highlighting key performance indicators relevant to the diamond business.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific guidelines related to diamond trading.
    • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard diamond inventory and prevent financial irregularities.
    • Analyze diamond-related costs, including cutting and polishing expenses, to identify areas for cost optimization.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Expertise in financial software and data analysis tools.
    • Detailed knowledge of the diamond industry, including grading systems and market dynamics.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
