Job Overview

As a seasoned finance professional, you will be responsible for driving the accurate preparation of financial reports and ensuring timely implementation of financial accounting systems and processes across the sector. You will develop strong relationships within the financial community, ensure working capital and funding requirements are met in a timely manner, and lead the analysis of business spends to identify areas for cost optimization and improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Align sector finance strategy with group finance strategy and ensure timely preparation of AOP and budgets for business operations.
  • Liaise with sector finance team and other key stakeholders to ensure financial plans are in sync with business plans.
  • Lead analysis of business spends and work with projects and assets teams to identify areas for cost optimization and improvement.
  • Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in adherence to accounting standards and corporate governance best practices.
  • Implement and maintain finance and accounting systems in alignment with statutory requirements.
  • Improve liquidity by effectively monitoring and reporting on receivables, following up with commercial team and customers for early payment against invoices, and facilitating budgeting process and monitoring departmental performance against defined budget parameters.
  • Drive timely completion of budgeting process and make arrangements for working capital requirement for business operations.
  • Forecast working capital requirements of business and manage funding through appropriate channels under oversight of sector CFO.
  • Provide inputs on profit and loss statement for business to sector CFO.
  • Responsible for periodic closure of books and arrival at financial performance of organization including supporting entities, review and maintenance of books of accounts, and various audits - Statutory, Internal, and Other audits.
  • Oversight of tax compliances, investor relations, and secretarial functions.
