Job Overview

This role encompasses the strategic management and oversight of end-to-end import, export, inland transportation, and logistics processes for sensitive semiconductor equipment, ODC cargo, utilities, gases, chemicals, direct and indirect materials, and finished goods products.

The specialist will coordinate activities between suppliers, customers, logistics partners, licensing authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless operations, adherence to regulations enforced by various government bodies, cost-effectiveness, and strict compliance with relevant Indian and international trade laws, IATA DGR, customs regulations, and safety standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Establish effective logistics processes for inbound and outbound semiconductor equipment, utilities, gases, chemicals, direct and indirect materials, and finished goods products transportation from global and domestic locations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics activities to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
  • Manage multiple 3PL sites (internal and external warehouses) across various transportation modes, ensuring efficient logistics operations.
  • Analyze potential risks in the supply chain, such as transportation delays, supply disruptions, or natural disasters, to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Examine logistics workflows and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 12-14 years of proven experience in import/export operations, preferably within manufacturing sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of ODC cargo, gas, and chemical logistics, including Indian import and export regulations, international trade laws, Incoterms, and compliance requirements, particularly for hazardous materials (HAZMAT).
  • Strong understanding of international logistics, 3PL management, inbound/outbound logistics, multi-modal transportation, freight forwarding, and related industry trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaison with diverse stakeholders globally and negotiation.
