Job Title: Data Storage and Protection Specialist About the RoleThis is a highly skilled position that involves managing systems data for clients, providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for solving complex problems and identifying potential future issues across various platforms and services. Key ResponsibilitiesYou will oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients. Your duties will include:
  • Managing storage systems data for clients
  • Providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance
  • Oversight of a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians
  • Prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients
 RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
  • 5 years of experience in storage and backup administration
  • Preventive maintenance on storage arrays, firmware updates, and health checks
  • Monitoring storage performance and capacity utilization
  • Optimizing storage through capacity management strategies
  • Recommending and implementing storage expansion strategies
  • Updating and upgrading backup tools, applications, and OS
  • Handling critical backup issues
  • Executing backup-related projects and initiatives
  • Change management, raising and closing RFCs
  • Vendor and OEM coordination
  • Creation of backup-related reports
  • Incident and service request fulfillment
  • Advanced Windows Server management and troubleshooting skills
 Preferred QualificationsWe are looking for individuals with advanced knowledge of different backup tools and technology, particularly Avamar, Networker, DD, and Druva Backup suite. Experience from the same backup technology is a plus. You should also be able to publish weekly or monthly backup-related reports and manage backup BAU operations.
