We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of our cutting-edge scientific instrument.

The successful candidate will own the mechanical architecture, working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate optics, electronics, thermal, acoustic, and safety aspects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing compact vacuum chambers, precise motion stages, and serviceable enclosures that ensure fast sample-to-image experience.
  • Developing assembly and test playbooks, including fixtures, torque specs, and metrology checks.
  • Qualifying and scaling suppliers to improve yield and finish quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience delivering precision electromechanical systems in scientific instruments, automation, or similar.
  • Comfortable with vacuum practice, precision motion, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and design for manufacturability.
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills with attention to ergonomics and field-service.
