The ideal candidate will be a talented engineer with hands-on experience in sourcing and developing components within the mechanical, electronics, mechatronics or electric vehicle (EV) sector. This role involves working on high-integrity designs while optimizing cost, manufacturability, and performance.

  1. Hands-on Experience in Sourcing and Developing Components: You will have experience in sourcing and developing components for mechanical, electronics, mechatronics or EV systems.
  2. Strong Foundation in Structural or Mechanical Assemblies: Ideal for someone experienced with large or load-bearing components, this role involves working on high-integrity designs while optimizing cost, manufacturability, and performance.
  3. Designing and Developing Automotive Interiors or Accessories: This position is ideal for someone with experience in designing and developing automotive interiors or accessories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Prototype Wheelchair Frames, Drive Modules, and Ergonomic Components: You will be responsible for designing and prototyping wheelchair frames, drive modules, and ergonomic components.
  • Assist in Gathering Insights on Market Needs and Consumer Trends: You will assist in gathering insights on market needs and consumer trends to inform product development.
  • Engineer Lightweight, Robust Load-Bearing Structures: You will engineer lightweight, robust load-bearing structures.
  • Integrate Motors, Batteries, and Control Systems: You will integrate motors, batteries, and control systems with structural design.
  • Collaborate with Vendors: You will collaborate with vendors for precision fabrication and quality delivery.
  • Conduct Testing: You will conduct testing for durability, safety, and compliance.
  • Optimize Materials and Processes: You will optimize materials and processes for cost, weight, and performance.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation: You will maintain accurate documentation of product specifications, changes, and manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering: A degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering is required.
  • Experience in Product Development: 2–4 years' experience in product development (mobility, automotive, or structural products) is required.
  • Proficiency in CAD: Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) is essential.
  • Knowledge of Materials and Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and prototyping is necessary.
