Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our team at Copeland. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products through our warehouse, maintaining high levels of stock accuracy, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead warehouse operations in compliance with company policies and vision
  • Oversee receiving, put away, picking, and dispatch operations
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and space utilization strategies
  • Initiate and coordinate process improvements and operational policies
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage systems
  • Prepare annual budgets and forecasts
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies
  • Plan work rotations, assign tasks, and appraise results
  • Recruit, select, orient, mentor, and empower employees
  • Produce regular reports and statistics (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report, etc.)

About You:

You will be a quick thinker, able to act decisively in fast-paced situations. You will be an effective communicator, able to adapt your style to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders. You will be a results-driven individual, committed to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Competent as a Warehouse In charge or above
  • Expertise in warehouse operational procedures and standard processes
  • Expertise in WMS module in ERP solutions (Oracle preferred)
  • Proven record of implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Good understanding of warehousing Key Performance Indicators
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Any degree in logistics/transportation management
  • Core experience in warehouse management with plus years
  • Speaking Hindi is an additional advantage
  • Team management
  • Proficiency in MS office
  • Ability to build good relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ability to run multiple projects parallelly and have a strategic mindset
  • Brings an external focus to work, being constantly updated on developments and innovations in the external world
  • Desire and ability to take full ownership of end-to-end execution to meet sales targets
  • Strong work ethic with excellent organization and time management
