Job Title: Housekeeping Associate

Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and common areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
  • Fill carts with supplies and transport them to assigned areas.
  • Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering.
  • Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
  • Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items.
  • M Make beds and fold terry.
  • Clean bathrooms.
  • Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items.
  • Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order.
  • Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.
  • Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
  • Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallways).

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • No related work experience is required, but previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
  • No supervisory experience is necessary, but strong communication skills are required.
  • No license or certification is required, but a valid driver's license may be an asset in some cases.

Please note that this job requires standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods across an entire work shift. You must also be able to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
