Seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to monitor mortgage underwriting activities in Australian mortgage roles. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough audits on mortgage underwriting cases to identify errors and trends in processing
  • Evaluate adherence to Australian credit policies and lender guidelines based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Provide constructive feedback to underwriters based on audit findings and help them improve their performance
  • Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to address performance gaps and provide guidance on best practices
  • Escalate potential risks or non-compliance issues to the Team Lead for prompt attention
  • Ensure adherence to National Consumer Credit Protection Act, Anti-Money Laundering regulations, and other relevant laws and regulations
Requirements:
  • Postgraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in mortgage operations, with at least 1 year in a quality assurance role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting dashboard creation
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines
