Cloud Security Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer with a strong background in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to fill this key role. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and architecture, as well as expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing AWS services.

The successful candidate will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based solutions to meet the evolving needs of our organization and clients. They will work closely with cloud architects and developers to create security solutions for cloud environments, ensuring that they are integrated into cloud platforms and comply with relevant compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing identity and access management controls to manage user and system access securely
  • Maintaining an Amazon AWS based cloud solution using a broad range of AWS services, including VPC, EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, AWS CLI, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, AWS Config, Kinesis, Route 53, Dynamo DB, and SNS
  • Collaborating with DevOps, network, and software development teams to promote secure cloud practices and train employees on cloud security best practices
  • Securing and encrypting data by providing secret management solutions with versioning enabled

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Platform Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
