Job Title: Mainframe SRE

  • Ability to create a comprehensive backlog of tasks necessary to implement and scale SRE practices.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to agree on and drive the execution of the backlog.
  • Coordinate dependencies across teams while implementing the backlog, identifying and addressing any potential derailments promptly.
  • Develop and implement services that enhance IT and support team efficiency by incorporating software engineering aspects, including production code changes, alerting, and monitoring adjustments.
  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automation.
  • Build proprietary tools from scratch to mitigate weaknesses in incident management or software delivery processes.
  • Provide troubleshooting support escalation and routing to concerned teams.
  • Optimize on-call processes through automation.
  • Document knowledge gained during the process.
  • Enhance the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Requirements:

  • Proficient working knowledge of monitoring and log analytics tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, CloudWatch, and X-Ray.
  • Coding skills in scripting languages like Python and Ruby for automation tool development.
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, and AWS CLI).
  • CI/CD expertise in setting up and maintaining pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes, utilizing tools like Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, and AWS CodePipeline.
