Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our HCL Cloud Product team, you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud-based infrastructure for our applications.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing with expertise in AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in public cloud services, including core infrastructure services for AWS, Microsoft Azure Services, and GCP.
  • Experience hosting applications on GCP using Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Storage.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols, including IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, Load Balancer, Cloud DNS, and Cloud CDN.
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS services, such as EC2, VPC, RDS, S3, Route 53/DNS, Clustering (EKS and ECS), Log Management, and IAM.
  • Ability to translate application requirements into cloud architecture/infrastructure, deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant architectures.
  • Knowledge of writing infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation, JSON, YAML, or Terraform.
  • Experience in monitoring and auditing systems, defining and documenting best practices and strategies regarding infrastructure maintenance.
  • Proficiency in any one of the cloud environments mentioned above is a must; intermediate knowledge of other two platforms is desirable.
  • Extensive experience with Linux, Ubuntu, and Windows operating systems.
