Lead UX Design Innovation Strategist

We have a compelling opportunity for an experienced user experience design leader to drive impactful innovation across our digital products and services.

As the Lead UX Design Innovation Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience, leveraging your deep knowledge of design and research practices to lead strategically important initiatives and develop innovative solutions that align with business requirements and user needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, guide and mentor junior designers, and foster a culture of inclusivity and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with designers, engineers, and product owners to apply and evolve our design patterns and components.
- Build relationships with other design leads and key stakeholders to drive and deepen adoption of the design system.
- Lead the definition, curation, and application of shared design and experiences across all our digital products.
- Develop and execute design/research strategies for complex projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
- Drive the adoption of inclusive design practices and accessibility guidelines, mentoring junior designers and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user experience design into product development processes.
- Analyze market trends, gather feedback from user research, and learn from data insights to inform design decisions.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in user experience design or similar roles.
- Ability to create visual representations of user journeys, such as storyboarding, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Experience in inclusive design and accessibility guidelines.
- Proven ability to develop experiences that meet or exceed initial proposals, including transformational innovation strategies.
- Advanced technical literacy, including understanding of client-side technologies, APIs, microservices, and technology stack components.
- Ability to articulate design rationale persuasively in both verbal and written communications.
- Influence decision-making of peers and leaders.
- Collaborative work style contributing to the success of a multidisciplinary team.
- Design leadership or managerial experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Figma, creating and maintaining libraries.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language to aid collaboration with engineering partners.
- History of working or leading design systems.
