Job Description

Candidates will be responsible for collaborating with business process owners to document and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal financial controls.

  • Evaluate SOX risks and controls across the Finance landscape, supporting both internal and external audit activities from a systems perspective.
  • Develop remediation plans to address control gaps and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential business risks.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with systems that handle sensitive data, as well as with SOX controls and change management processes.
  • Experience with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), PCAOB auditing standards and control frameworks used in SOX (e.g., COSO).
  • Expertise in SAP ERP and custom financial applications, as well as Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Strong understanding of Finance processes such as Order to Cash, Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Plan to Report, and Treasury.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, candidates with the following skills will be viewed favorably:

  • Experience leading projects with process improvement initiatives.
  • Deficiency assessments, remediation processes, and remediation testing experience.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage multiple project assignments, and coordinate teams in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with various departments.
