About Our Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished professional with expertise in business development within civil engineering consulting to spearhead our tendering efforts.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in water, irrigation, and tourism projects, as well as exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

Job Summary

As Head of Tendering, you will be responsible for helping the organization prepare and evaluate bids and tenders for valuable contracts.

You will coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders, analyze tender requirements, and develop key solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze tender documents, identify requirements, and prepare bid responses in line with client needs.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely and accurate submissions of tenders.
  • Evaluate bids, review contracts, and negotiate terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and report on the tendering process to senior management, including progress against targets and potential risks.
  • Prepare proposal and cost estimation, and conduct competitor analysis to inform bidding strategy.
  • Proactively interact with prospects to increase chances of securing new business opportunities.
  • BUILD relationships with clients, vendors, and distributors, and drive sales and marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in business development within civil engineering consulting.
  • Strong understanding of the environment in which the business operates (economic, financial, and industrial).
  • Demonstrated Business Development capability in reputable consulting organizations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong team leadership and organizational values.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
