Lead Data Engineer & Technical Project Manager

We're seeking an experienced Data Engineering professional to drive the delivery of data platforms, AI, BI, and analytics projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing complex data engineering projects end-to-end, with expertise in modern data architecture, cloud platforms, and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of data platform, AI, BI, and analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, roadmaps, and timelines for data ingestion, transformation, governance, AI/ML models, and analytics deliverables.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, BI analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions on time and within budget.
  • Define and prioritize product and project backlogs covering data pipelines, data quality, governance, AI services, and BI dashboards or reporting tools.
  • Capture and translate business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for data and analytics solutions.
  • Oversight of BI and analytics area, including dashboard development, embedded analytics, self-service BI enablement, and ad hoc reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, security, and compliance requirements are integrated throughout the project lifecycle, in collaboration with governance and security teams.
  • Coordinate UAT, performance testing, and user training to ensure adoption and successful rollout of data and analytics products.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing regular status updates, managing risks and issues, and escalating as necessary.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through agile ceremonies like sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, and retrospectives.
