We are seeking an accomplished Procurement Specialist to join our organization. This is a critical role that requires strong negotiation and communication skills, as well as the ability to identify reliable vendors and negotiate cost-effective purchases.

The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement/purchase in a manufacturing/industrial setup, with a solid understanding of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain operations. They will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as vendor relationship management skills.

A bachelor's degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Engineering / Management is required, with 2–5 years of experience in procurement/purchase. Knowledge of local and international sourcing is an asset.

Job Responsibilities
  • Procurement & Sourcing:
    • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors for raw materials, machinery spares, consumables, and services.
    • Obtain quotations, compare price, quality, and delivery terms, and finalize purchase orders.
    • Develop alternate sourcing strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
    • Conduct vendor performance evaluation based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
    • Negotiate contracts, terms, and payment conditions.
  • Purchase Operations:
    • Issue Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company policies and approvals.
    • Ensure timely procurement of materials as per production schedule.
    • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the stores/warehouse for replenishment.
  • Cost Optimization:
    • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
    • Benchmark prices and identify opportunities for bulk/long-term contracts.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate procurement records (POs, invoices, GRNs, contracts).
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
    • Coordinate with finance for vendor payments and reconciliations.
  • Cross-functional Coordination:
    • Work closely with production, quality, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
    • Resolve material-related issues with suppliers and internal departments.
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Engineering / Management.
  • Experience:
    • 2–5 years of experience in procurement/purchase in a manufacturing/industrial setup.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems / MS Office.
    • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
    • Vendor relationship management.
    • Cost-conscious with attention to detail.
