Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our team. As a Senior Associate - Python Developer, your primary responsibilities will include working closely with external vendors and internal technical teams to ingest, evaluate, and transform raw data into valuable data assets.

Data Ingestion & Asset Creation:

  • Design and implement robust data ingestion processes from various distribution channels.
  • Collaborate directly with external vendors and internal technical teams to systematically ingest, evaluate, and transform raw data into valuable data assets.

Data Pipeline Development:

  • Develop scalable and efficient data pipelines using Python to process, transform, and integrate large volumes of financial data.
  • Utilize data orchestration tools such as Airflow for scheduling, monitoring, and managing complex data workflows.

Data Quality & Integrity:

  • Apply and enforce robust data quality rules and validation processes to qualify data deliveries and guarantee the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial datasets.

Platform Collaboration & Scalability:

  • Closely collaborate with the core engineering team to create central capabilities that enable the processing, management, and distribution of data assets at scale.
  • Work with cloud-native tools for data processing and distribution, leveraging platforms like Snowflake for efficient data storage and querying.

Stakeholder Engagement & SME:

  • Engage effectively with technical and non-technical clients as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on data asset offerings, providing insights and addressing data-related inquiries.
  • Partner with data strategy and sourcing teams to understand evolving data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience: 2-4 years of overall experience as a Python Developer or in a similar data engineering role.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and pipeline development.
  • Solid expertise in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and database interactions.
