About This Role:
We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Python Data Engineering and programming management to lead our data initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Python programming, a proven track record of building and deploying complex data-driven solutions, and a passion for driving business growth.
The selected individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and machine learning systems, while also providing technical leadership and direction to the team. They will analyze large datasets to extract strategic insights and drive critical business decisions at an organizational level.
This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including senior data engineers, product managers, and software developers, to influence technical direction and foster strong inter-team relationships. The candidate should have expert proficiency in Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and Matplotlib/Seaborn.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field, with 7-8 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or data science roles with a strong focus on Python.
Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and robust data pipelines and complex ETL workflows using Python.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated machine learning models and end-to-end data pipelines using Python, ensuring performance and scalability.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to extract strategic insights and drive critical business decision-making at an organizational level.
- Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams to influence technical direction and foster strong inter-team relationships.
- Drive the automation of complex data workflows and establish best practices for ensuring data quality and integrity across the enterprise.
- Contribute significantly to the development of scalable, maintainable, and high-performance data science solutions, setting technical standards.
- Expertly utilize UNIX-based systems for advanced scripting, automation, and complex data processing tasks, providing guidance to the team.
- Work extensively with DevOps tools and practices to streamline model deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD integration, advocating for best practices.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level data engineers and data scientists, fostering their growth and skill development.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 7-8 years of extensive hands-on experience in data engineering or data science roles with a strong focus on Python.
- Expert proficiency in Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and Matplotlib/Seaborn.
- Demonstrated experience with advanced data wrangling, feature engineering, and sophisticated model evaluation techniques.
- Deep understanding of statistical analysis and complex machine learning algorithms, including their practical applications.
- Expertise with UNIX/Linux environments and advanced shell scripting.
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead discussions, present complex solutions, and influence stakeholders.
- Experience with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
