System Administrator: Z/OS Operating Systems

Job Description:

The System Administrator is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of z/OS operating systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot system issues related to installation, upgrade, and configuration.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including IPLs, hardware upgrades, and storage management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Analyze system logs and debug software issues to resolve technical problems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in z/OS operations, tools, and scripting languages.
  • Strong command over JCL, SMP/E, and storage utilities.
  • Experience with BCP/DR activities and mainframe DevOps methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
