Job Overview

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced Document Management Specialist to manage project documentation deliverables, ensuring that all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with company and project quality procedures. As a key member of our project team, you will work closely with all engineering teams, project managers, and project engineering managers, as well as customer representatives and external partners subcontractors and suppliers to ensure daily documentation workflows between involved parties are managed efficiently using dedicated Document Management Systems (Windchill Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) System and Customer Portal like Aconex, EcoDoc, Share Point etc.).

The successful candidate will have experience in documentation handling and related software systems, significant and relevant experience in documentation management on large projects (volume of thousands of documents), and completed studies in a technical field. They will also possess general knowledge of engineering technical terms and understanding of engineering processes. Additionally, proficiency in Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel), CAD/AUTOCAD (basic level), Adobe Acrobat Professional or similar is necessary. Knowledge of macro creation/modification (awareness of Visual Basic) is desirable. Furthermore, good communication skills, fluency in English, and fluency in other languages (French, German) will add value to the role.

The major responsibilities of this role include:
  • Ensuring daily documentation workflows between involved parties are managed efficiently.
  • Compiling information to produce Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.
  • Supporting the engineering team for specific tasks, such as Master Document List (MDL) updates, progress reports, dedicated checks of issues.
  • Knowledge of how the work of the document control team integrates with other project teams and contributes to the project.
  • Will work according to overall and project-related document quality checklists, compliant to company and project quality procedures & accurate quality records.
  • EHS: Execute with zero accident and without damage to the environment.
