IT Asset Management(ITAM) Career

We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to lead our organization's IT Asset Management efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing end-to-end IT Asset Management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement ITAM Processes: Develop and implement effective IT Asset Management processes for both hardware and software assets, driving process improvements and automation within the ITAM/SAM practice.
  • Lead Software Asset Management Lifecycle: Oversee the entire Software Asset Management lifecycle, including license management, compliance audits, procurement, renewals, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with procurement, finance, security, and IT operations teams to ensure cost optimization and compliance.
  • Perform Software Discovery and Compliance Checks: Conduct thorough software discovery, reconciliation, and compliance checks across multiple publishers, ensuring compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Strategic Inputs for Vendor Negotiations: Offer strategic insights for vendor negotiations, true-up, and contract renewals.
  • Drive Process Improvements and Automation: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the ITAM/SAM practice, developing dashboards and reports to monitor performance and governance.
  • Ensure Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, drive process improvements and automation within the ITAM/SAM practice.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong Experience in ITAM and SAM Tools: Proven experience in using IT Asset Management and Software Asset Management tools, such as ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, Snow, or Ivanti.
  • Solid Understanding of License Models: A deep understanding of various license models, including perpetual, subscription, cloud/SaaS, BYOL, and enterprise agreements.
  • Hands-on Experience in Software License Optimization: Proficiency in software license optimization, audits, and compliance management.
  • Ability to Manage Hardware Asset Lifecycle: Experience in managing the hardware asset lifecycle, including procurement, inventory, disposal, and refresh.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Processes: Familiarity with ITIL processes, particularly ITAM/SAM, CMDB, Incident, Change, and Procurement.
  • Strong Analytical and Reporting Skills: Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with experience in Excel, Power BI, or ServiceNow reports.
  • Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT Asset Management and Software Asset Management.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing effective IT Asset Management processes.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and software asset management tools.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience in Excel, Power BI, or ServiceNow reports.
