Water Treatment Specialist

This role oversees the management and operation of a Demineralisation Water Treatment Plant in a power generation setting.
Key Responsibilities:- DM Plant Operation and Management: Operate, supervise, and optimize the entire DM water treatment process, including RO (Reverse Osmosis), EDI (Electrodeionization), Softener, Degasser Tower, and Mixed Bed units.
- Equipment Maintenance and Monitoring: Ensure optimal performance and maintainance of DM plant equipment, dosing systems, pumps, and control panels.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate logs, chemical usage records, test reports, and regeneration schedules to ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Boiler Chemistry Interface: Collaborate with boiler operations team to ensure feedwater and steam chemistry compliance (oxygen scavenger dosing, phosphate control, etc.).
- Team Supervision and Safety: Supervise a team of water treatment technicians/operators to ensure a safe working environment.
- Expertise in DM water production and boiler feedwater treatment.
- Strong understanding of steam-water cycle chemistry in thermal/biomass power plants.
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments: pH meter, conductivity meter, spectrophotometer, silica analyzer, etc.
- Leadership, documentation, and root cause analysis skills.
