Facilities Operations Manager

The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations, maintenance and technical management of a private portfolio. He/she must be highly skilled and hands-on in managing high-end residential properties.

This is a demanding role requiring technical expertise, project management skills and excellent leadership abilities. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in estate or property management, preferably with a degree in engineering.

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our team of house managers stationed across India at various properties. The chosen individual will set performance standards, monitor execution of duties and provide training and technical guidance as required.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, upkeep and maintenance of all personal and hospitality properties.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all estate-related issues.
  • Technical Oversight & Maintenance:
  • Ensure timely maintenance and smooth functioning of technical utilities and infrastructure including diesel generators, electrical systems, lifts and elevators, water pumps and plumbing, firefighting and fire safety systems, HVAC systems and surveillance systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of all equipment and systems.
  • Staff Supervision & Coordination:
  • Lead and manage a team of house managers across different locations.
  • Set performance standards and monitor execution of duties.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to on-site teams as needed.
  • Ensure documentation of service logs, technical reports and property records.
  • Vendor & Contractor Management:
  • Liaise with service vendors, technical contractors and AMC providers.
  • Evaluate performance and ensure timely service delivery within agreed SLAs.
  • Negotiate service agreements and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control:
  • Prepare maintenance budgets, track expenditures and manage cost-effective operations.
  • Recommend upgrades, refurbishments and major repairs when necessary.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage renovation and additions projects - Civil, Electrical etc.

Desired Candidate:

  • Extensive experience in private property or estate management.
  • Degree in engineering with a minimum of 15 years' experience in estate or property management.
  • Proven expertise in technical maintenance and managing high-end residential properties.
  • Strong technical proficiency, leadership skills and ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
