Job Description

We are looking for a talented Senior Kafka Developer to lead the development of Kafka-based solutions that facilitate real-time data processing and analytics. You will work alongside our data architects and engineers to optimize data flow and storage patterns in AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance Kafka streams and data pipelines using AWS services such as Kinesis and S3.
  • Integrate Kafka with various data sources and sinks to ensure seamless data flow across different applications.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka clusters to guarantee high availability and reliability of services.
  • Implement security measures and manage data governance to protect sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine requirements for data processing functionalities.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in developing applications using Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services, including Kinesis, S3, EC2, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
  • Proficient in programming languages like Java, Scala, or Python.
  • Experience with data modeling and schema design using Avro or JSON.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools for Kafka, such as Confluent Control Center or Grafana.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Estimated Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 per year
