Job Description:

The role of an AWS DevOps Engineer at Comprehensive Resources Inc involves designing and implementing scalable infrastructure using AWS Cloud services, managing Kubernetes clusters, and handling streaming data pipelines with AWS MSK (Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Deployment and Management: Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS Cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.) to ensure high availability and scalability for cloud-based applications.
  • Kubernetes Cluster Management: Set up and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications to streamline deployment processes.
  • Streaming Data Pipelines: Implement and monitor AWS MSK (Kafka) for real-time streaming data pipelines.
  • CICD Pipeline Development: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment, testing, and delivery using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
  • Source Control and Collaboration: Integrate with GitHub for source control, collaboration, and branch management to ensure efficient code management and development.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure high security standards by implementing cloud security best practices including IAM, VPC configurations, and encryption.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues across the full stack to ensure smooth operation of cloud-based applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Strong Experience in AWS Cloud: 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS Cloud.
  • Kubernetes Expertise: Expertise in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
  • AWS MSK (Kafka) Experience: Hands-on experience with AWS MSK (Kafka) for managing streaming data pipelines.
  • CI/CD Tool Proficiency: Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
  • GitHub Proficiency: Proficiency in version control using GitHub.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • AWS Services Knowledge: Deep understanding of AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, and IAM.
  • Containerization Knowledge: Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Monitoring and Logging Tools: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
