Key Responsibilities
- Industry analysis and dashboards: Conducting deep dive industry studies on focus sectors and monitoring key drivers and performance indicators.
- Investment opportunity identification: Identifying emerging and high-growth sectors through market analysis and assessment.
- Financial spreading and valuation analysis: Creating trading and transaction comps and performing valuation analysis via different techniques.
- M&A and strategic analysis: Identifying and analyzing potential targets through market, product, service, and financial synergies analysis.
- Commercial due diligence support: Conducting commercial due diligence of potential investments through market opportunity, target company's business model, and competitive positioning analysis.
- Peer group benchmarking & competition landscaping: Mapping players operating in relevant industries and benchmarking shortlisted players on various KPIs.
- Analyzing investment themes / strategies: Evaluating attractiveness of overall sectors, geographies, or companies focused investment themes and strategies.
- Portfolio company monitoring: Periodically tracking business and financial performance indicators of portfolio companies and benchmarking them with their peer groups.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience supporting strategy research and analysis, preferably across industries.
- CFA, MBA from a top-tier business school in Strategy, Finance, Operations, or Economics.
- Strong finance fundamentals and knowledge of financial analysis skills.
- Experience working across databases such as Capital IQ, Factset, Preqin.
- Dedicated and motivated individuals with demonstrated academic excellence, strong leadership, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Superior problem-solving abilities and strong analytical thinking.
