About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Cyber Security Cloud Architect to join our team at Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company. As a key member of our Digital Technology team, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing secure cloud solutions that meet the demands of our global aerospace and defense industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with peers, business leaders, and product managers to architect secure cloud solutions that meet business outcomes.
  • Create and articulate future state architecture via a narrative document, complemented by a detailed strategy.
  • Develop and review a cloud security execution plan to ensure the evolution from current to future state architectures.
  • Collaborate with security architects and peers to refine and evolve security architecture processes and practices.
  • Capture customer use cases and security requirements, research vendors and technologies, and score solutions to determine the optimal system outcome.
  • Assess and characterize security risk for implemented systems and systems to be built, recommend security risk mitigations, and set the risk appetite level for the enterprise.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulations affecting business partners, write and influence enterprise security policy.
  • Perform system data categorization and apply security control frameworks corresponding to the level of data sensitivity.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in security architecture, including areas such as cloud security, on-premise and cloud networking, and secure protocols.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud security.
  • Expertise in cloud automation and orchestration, including monitoring, compliance checks, and security checks.
  • Strong understanding of cloud identity and access management principles.
  • Experience with cloud automation and container tool sets and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with security control frameworks such as CIS Critical Security Controls, ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, and NIST 800-53.
  • Demonstrated experience of delivering security process change.
  • Desire/ability to learn and implement new technologies.
  • Experience with Agile development methodology.
  • Experience in all aspects of architecture design.
  • Proficiency in security domains such as information security, identity and access management, incident response, application security, monitoring, compliance, risk/3rd party risk, and physical security.
  • Prefer certifications such as CISSP, TOGAF, Zachman, and cloud vendor certifications.
