Key Responsibilities


As a Cyber Security Architect at DP World Australia, your key responsibilities will include:



  • Formulating a strategic security architecture vision that aligns with the overall business strategy, including standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Reviewing existing IT security architecture and identifying design gaps, recommending security enhancements to ensure the organization's security posture is strong.
  • Participating in the development life cycle of systems to ensure security issues are identified and addressed early on, providing necessary security advice for key systems and applications.
  • Determining security requirements by evaluating DP World Australia's business strategies and requirements, researching information security standards, conducting system security risk assessments, and studying architecture/platforms for digital products.
  • Assisting in the development of new security architectures, security policies, principles, and standards as needed by actual or expected business changes at DP World Australia.
  • Providing expertise and recommendations in application development, database design, network, and/or platform efforts, helping respective teams comply with enterprise and information security policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Developing and maintaining security architecture artifacts (models, templates, standards, and procedures) that can be used to leverage security capabilities in projects and operations.
  • Driving the integration of security systems with security operational processes at DP World Australia, building on and improving those processes across the organization.
  • Researching current and emerging security threats and designing security architecture to mitigate threats where possible.
  • Developing DP World Australia's security architecture compliant with industry standards, global benchmarks, and governmental regulations.

Job Context


The Cyber Security Architect reports to the VP – Security & Governance within the Group Technology department. The job context revolves around cyber security architecture design and implementation.


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills


Knowledge and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Application Security, Cyber Security, or similar.
  • Significant extensive experience in cyber security with a proven track record of successfully designing and delivering complex security architecture solutions in large organizations.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-native security architectures.
  • Industry-recognized cyber security-related certifications are preferred, including Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect Expert (MCCAE), GIAC Defensible Security Architect Certification (GDSA), Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
  • Good understanding in E-commerce, logistics, supply chain, and port operations applications is an added advantage.
  • Experience in working with Multinational Companies (MNC) is preferable.

  • Knowledge of a modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, Rust, Java, and/or scripting, Infrastructure as Code, etc).
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
