About Our Special Education Program

Our special education program is dedicated to providing high-quality services for children and adults with diverse needs. We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.

Our team of experienced professionals works collaboratively to develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs. We use evidence-based instructional strategies and provide ongoing support to ensure students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with parents, therapists, and other staff members.
  • Deliver customised instruction to students based on their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Modify the curriculum to meet the abilities of students with disabilities.
  • Implement behaviour intervention plans and use positive behaviour supports.
  • Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, counsellors, and parents to support students' academic and social development.
  • Assess and track student performance and progress regularly, adjusting goals accordingly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or equivalent in Multiple Disabilities.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with children and adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and assistive aids and devices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Good documentation and reporting skills.
