Safety Specialist

Job Description:
- Elevate and uphold rigorous occupational health and safety protocols across manufacturing sites.
- Create a secure working environment for all staff members, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Prioritize the provision of guidance on occupational health and safety aspects in job analyses and conduct detailed safety assessments of selected tasks.
- Maintain high-quality personal protective equipment availability.
- Evaluate risk potential in hazardous areas and equipment through regular audits.
- Ensure timely completion of audit, training, and other year plans.
- Conduct periodic audits with various elements and parameters across cluster units.
- Perform plant safety inspections to evaluate physical conditions and work practices, advising measures for removal of unsafe conditions and prevention of unsafe actions.
- Develop and implement incident investigation and near-miss procedures.
- Implement and execute the corporate occupational health and safety strategy and action plan.
- Promote establishment of occupational health and safety committees and serve as an advisor and catalyst.
- Maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Develop systems and procedures for unit-level activities.
- Organize mock drill practices across manufacturing locations for emergency response.
- Collaborate with unit management representatives for EMS and OHSMS implementation.
- Conduct and monitor occupational health and safety training activities according to the calendar.
- Implement visual displays, permit-to-work systems, LOTO, and road safety adherence.
- Educate contract workers and service providers on occupational health and safety standards.
- Sustain best practices across all units.
- Prepare budgets for specific unit requirements.
- Foster a participative culture to enhance occupational health and safety performance.
- Ensure CAPA effectiveness for all findings.
- Support stakeholders in using Suraksha 360.
- Assist the corporate occupational health and safety team in driving initiatives across cluster units.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
- Qualification: Any graduate with a diploma in industrial safety from RLI/CLI or ME (Industrial Safety) approved by DISH.
- Experience: 8-12 years in environment, health, and safety.
- Age: Between 30-35 years.
- Language: English and Telugu.
- Manufacturing sector experience essential, at least 7 years.
- No preference for projects, overseas, or power plant experience.
- Worked in a reputable concern and stayed for at least one year.
