Senior Insurance Testing Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Insurance Testing Lead to spearhead our insurance testing efforts. This key member of our team will play a critical role in developing comprehensive test strategies, leading testing efforts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement test strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead a team of testers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship for high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Effectively allocate testing resources to meet project deadlines and objectives.
  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and reliability.
  • Establish defect management processes and tools to track, prioritize, and manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with testing activities, collaborating with project stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders, providing regular status updates and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • 20+ years of experience in software testing, with specific experience in the Insurance domain.
  • Proven experience in test management roles, with a track record of successfully leading testing efforts for complex software projects.
  • Strong understanding of life insurance products, processes, underwriting principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Preferred exposure in Life Insurance / Health Insurance/Motor Insurance/ Travel Insurance/Property and Casualty.
  • Ability to prepare scenarios and derive test cases from the same.
  • Proactive in test case execution, defect discussion, defect logging, risk identification, and mitigation.
  • Knowledge of writing SQL queries, databases, and running basic SQL queries.
  • Hands-on experience with Test Management and Defect Management tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
