Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our cloud engineering group as a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services.

Your primary focus will be on the development, deployment, and maintenance of highly available, scalable storage and container orchestration systems using Ceph, ZFS, and NFS storage technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement distributed storage systems including Ceph, ZFS, and NFS for use across hybrid and cloud-native environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storage, networking, and container orchestration systems.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for infrastructure using tools like Prometheus.
  • Collaborate with development and SRE teams to ensure seamless CI/CD and infrastructure reliability.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
  • Document architectural decisions, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
  • Proficient with Ceph (RADOS, RBD, CephFS) and ZFS administration.
  • Solid experience managing NFS servers and performance tuning.
  • Preferred knowledge of Kubernetes internals, networking, and cluster lifecycle management.
  • Experience with container runtimes (Docker, containerd), Helm, etc.
  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience using the Rook-Ceph operator for Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CSI storage drivers and volume provisioning in Kubernetes.
  • Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or RHCSA are a plus.

The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills. Experience working in regulated environments is beneficial.

This role involves collaborating with customer engineering teams on a wide variety of cloud projects, including migration, containerization, and transformation initiatives.

You will be part of a dynamic team designing, automating, and deploying cloud-based services.
